I’ve been a target shooter for as long as I can remember. I got my start way back in high school. We had both junior and senior rifle teams in our schools. We practiced and participated in team matches with the other high schools in the city. Can you imagine this today? Incredible how things changed!
I regularly compete in matches organized by the Ontario Rifle Association ORA and through the Dominion of Canada Rifle Association DCRA. The DCRA shooting is on an international level. The annual matches, held in Ottawa at the Connaught Rifle Range brings together the best target shooters in the world.
I competed in the August 2006 DCRA 900 Metre F Class Open Tournament on the Connaught Range In Ottawa. It was my first try at International Competition. We had some of the best F-Class target shooters in the world competing in individual and team events from England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany and the United States and nautrally of course Canada. I managed to win a bronze medal for the 3-day aggregate.
I have a website devoted to Canadian F-Class Long Range Target Shooting you can visit at www.fclass.ca
